IIRC flake is more efficient in terms of silver/leaf, but yayo is better in terms of silver/work. So it sort of depends on what you have an excess of: psychoid leaves or colonist time. Comparison: Yayo has a market value of 23, takes 8 leaves, and 7 work to make.
